Biography - English Version

Fabio De Francesco, MSc, PhD (m) is a permanent researcher, within the ‘Agroforestry Mechanization Research Group’ in the CNR – IBE (IVALSA) since 2011. He holds a full degree in forestry (MSc level)., and he has successfully accomplished the PhD program in Forestry, his thesis defence was held on June 2016 whit a thesis title “Chipping operation optimization, energy and economic balance for a better environmental sustainability”. His fields of expertise cover other than chipping operation Geomatics, Precision Forestry and solid Biomass analysis in which particular tasks of sampling and statistical analysis of the data. In this moment he is involved in one Horizon 2020 demonstration project (D4EU) as forest operation expert. He has worked as CNR scientist in one EU R&D project (INFRES -FP7 programme) and 2 EU COST Action, besides he has worked on a number of other national and regional project all on forest operations and forest biomass supply chain subject.
